RBCIP's International Green Hydrogen Mission visits industrial park and refinery in Germany.

On the third day of the International Green Hydrogen Mission, participants departed from the hotel in Hamburg towards Brunsbüttel, about 88 km away. There, they were received at the Bürgersaal by the host, Dr. Jesko Dahlmann, local authorities, and representatives from the Ministry of Energy of the State of Schleswig-Holstein.

During the presentation, they received general information about the management model of the Chemcoast Park industrial estate. They then visited the park, including an operating electrolysis unit next to Covestro.

After lunch, the participants went to Raffinerie Heide GmbH, in Hemmingstedt, where they learned about the WESTKÜSTE100 & HySCALE100 projects, aimed at the application of green hydrogen in industrial processes. The visit included a guided tour (inside the vehicle) of the refinery production area.

The International Green Hydrogen Mission aims to promote international cooperation for the development and dissemination of green hydrogen-related technologies. Germany is an important center for the development of green hydrogen technologies, and the visit to the industrial park and refinery provided a valuable opportunity for participants to get up close to some of the pioneering projects in the country.

The day ended with the return to the hotel in Hamburg at around 6:30 p.m. The mission continues with a series of visits and meetings with representatives from companies and research institutions in Germany, seeking to establish partnerships and collaborations for the promotion of green hydrogen worldwide.
